Your experience starts shortly after your ship docks or from your hotel/port (Amber Cove or Taino Bay) in the Puerto Plata region. You’ll arrive at the meet-up point in Maimón where you receive your safety briefing and gear. Then you set off, driving your buggy through the streets of Maimón and onward into nature-filled scenery. You’ll see the vibrant local atmosphere, lush tropical landscapes, and coastal views. A stop at a cigar shack gives you insight into local craftsmanship and Dominican traditions, alongside a tasting of organic hot chocolate and coffee. After that refreshing pause, you’ll drive back toward the coast and may have an opportunity for a swim in the sea at a local beach before ending your tour back at your pickup/drop-off location.
