  • ?️ Time on Playa Tropical, a more secluded white-sand beach on Isla Tortuga, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or strolling under palm trees.

  • ? Lunch on the island: fresh fruit, soft drinks, water, and a sandwich (options include ham & cheese or vegetarian).

  • ? Optional hike to a viewpoint on the island (extra local fee) or simply relax in the shade of swaying palms.

Full Description

Your day begins with a friendly boat ride from Paquera’s Playa Órganos. As you glide across the water, take in the scenic coastline and perhaps spot some marine life. The boat weaves through a rock formation known as Rainbow Rock before entering the channel between islands to reach Tortuga Island. Once there, your first destination is Los Morteros, where you’ll snorkel for about 50 minutes over volcanic rock reefs. These reefs are home to many species of tropical fish and provide a vivid underwater experience.

After snorkeling, you swap your mask for sunglasses and head to Playa Tropical on the island. This beach is quieter and ideal for relaxing, swimming, or walking along the soft, sugar-like sand. For the more adventurous, there’s a hiking trail up to a summit with panoramic views (note: this requires a small extra fee paid locally). While on the beach, you’ll be treated to fresh fruit, a sandwich (vegetarian or ham & cheese), and drinks. In the afternoon (around 2 PM), the boat departs back to Paquera, arriving around 2:30 PM, though you’re welcome to linger on the beach afterward if you like.
