Full Description
Day 1: Youâll be picked up in Jarabacoa from your campsite on Calle de la Piña and transported west toward the Cordillera Central. At the Manabao Marsh you begin your trek (about 4 km) through lush jungle landscapes. After a mid-hike break you continue to the mountain camp La ComparticiĂłn (altitude ~2,450 m) where youâll stay overnight.

Day 2: After breakfast at camp you set off on the major ascent (approx. 13 km) up to the summit of Pico Duarte. Along the way youâll pass through pine, ebony and mahogany forests as you gain altitude. At the peak youâll enjoy extraordinary panoramic views.
